Hello and welcome to UWPP: the Unknown Wildlife Photographers Project.

My name is Krissy, and I am the founder of this movement.


Origin
The idea came when I decided that I wanted to expand the range of subjects included in my drawing portfolio. I came up with the idea that I would do a drawing study based on photographs from the lesser known wildlife photographers here in the deviantArt community. I began the process of searching relentlessly to find photos taken by those underexposed, talented photographers, and then sought to gain permission to use their images in my study. Thus the project was formed, and I instantly made friends with many of the people that agreed to take part.


Structure
There are two parts to this group.

The photography side, and the drawing side.
I want this group to be that of which where an artist can come and browse through the gallery, find something they like, and then be able to ask the photographer if they can draw their photo.
It means that you are paying respect to the owner of the image, and are not breaching copyright.



I hope that eventually this group will get photography fledglings out of the nest, and into the world.
